Connecticut: 2012 Election Info
Polls Closed: 8:00 PM EST
Electoral Votes: 7
Congressional Delegation: 5 Democrats
Congressional Race Ratings: 4 Safe Democrats, 1 Toss Up (CT-5)
POTUS- No State has more upper income earners per capita than Connecticut and there are a number of state specific issues which should allow Romney to narrow the gap here. Two races (CT-SEN, CT-5) here will be decided by Romney's ability or inability to keep it close. Projection: Obama
CT-SEN: Linda McMahon finds herself in an unexpectedly close race for senate. Many felt Rep. Chris Murphy would waltz into the open seat, but his campaign has been mired in scandal. If Romney is able to keep the race close, Linda McMahon might be able to steal a victory for the GOP in a very tough state. Projection: Toss Up
CT-5: At the beginning of the cycle I would have told you this seat was a bridge too far for Republicans but, thanks to a messy Democratic primary, the race is within reach. Labor isn't thrilled former State Rep. Elizabeth Esty survived the primary and Republicans nominated moderate State Sen. Andrew Rorabeck. The X-factor is whether or not Democratic turnout will be boosted by having Rep. Chris Murphy running for Senate. Projection: Toss Up
